As a global leading EDA and semiconductor IP provider, Cadence held its annual domestic user conference CDNLive China 2018 in Shanghai on August 10th. This year is Cadence’s 30^th anniversary. More than 1,000 system developers and industry experts joined CDNLive China 2018, which made the highest record. As Cadence's outstanding partner of AI chips, ThinkForce was invited to this great event to connect potential customers ,share design thinking and inspire industrial peers.

Our patent pending DNN computing acceleration kernel ManyCore^TM is the key technology of our AI chips. It can exponentially shorten DNN computing time and amazingly reduce chip power consumption. In Designer Expo, we demoed ManyCore^TM prototype on Xilinx Zynq FPGA platform. With 512 MACs running at 500MHz clock, the prototype simultaneously processed real-time human face detection for 16 HD video stream inputs. Many visitors came to our booth for this interactive technical show. The facial detection frame always responded to visitors’ face movement instantly.

Mr. Babu Mandava, Cadence Senior Vice President and General Manager of IP Division, also visited our booth. He highly appreciated our R&D capability and cooperation progress by far. Meanwhile he looked forward to the continued deepening of cooperation with ThinkForce.

Our ASIC engineering samples will be available in Q4 2018. Their performance is expected to be tens-fold as good as the current FPGA demo. We believe those smart hardware powered by ThinkForce will outperform the current mainstream AI computing solution both in performance cost ratio and energy efficiency, which makes them ideal choices for large scale intelligent computer vision applications including smart surveillance, smart city, smart commerce and etc.
